Të nderuar motra dhe vëllezër mërgimtar!
Jemi dëshimtarë të një epoke kohore të lavdishme të popullit Shqiptar, posaçërisht të çlirimit të Kosovës nga kolonializmi serb si dhe avancimi i të drejtave të Shqiptarëve në Maqedoni, Mal të Zi dhe Luginës së Preshevës. Kemi mbetur prapa me shqiptarët e boshnjakëzuar në Sanxhakun e Tregut të Ri (Novi Pazarit).
Siç e dini, në këtë betejë madhore, Mërgata Shqiptare luajti një rol kryesor në sensibilizimin e çështjes gjithshqiptare, posaçërisht asaj Kosovare, në financimin e luftës si dhe pjesëmarrjen në to. Por, duhet veçuar roli i komunitetit të Amerikës pasi luftën finale e bëri NATO nën udhëheqjen e komandës Amerikane. Mirëpo, prapa sukseseve të NATO-s qëndron Lobi Shiptaro- Amerikan, që bëri një punë të mrekullueshme në organizimin e rrjetit lobues në Amerikë dhe Europë dhe përkrahjen që mori nga organet e larta dhe vendimmarrëse politike të Amerikës.
Këtu, nuk duhet harruar puna dhe veprimtaria e Joe Dio Guardit. si udhërrefyesi i lobimit në Washington dhe në botë, si kryetar i LQSHA. Deri në çlirimin e Kosovës Lobi Shqiptar në Washington, radhitej si një ndër më të fuqishmit në botë, menjihere pas lobit Izraelit. Duhet cekur se Lobi Izraelit njëkohësisht dha një kontribut të çmuar në Washington në favor të shqiptarëve, duke iu falëinderuar punës së palodhur të Zotit Joe Dio Guardi dhe shoqes së tij Shirley Cloyes Dio Guardi.
Gjitha këto rezultate u mbërritën nga zemërgjërësia e Mërgatës Shqiptare në financimin dhe përkrahjen e Lobit apo Luftës direkte dhe indirekte.
Por, pas çlirimit të Kosovës dhe me kapjen e shtetit të Kosovës për 20 vite me radhë nga një grup i kriminalizuar të komandantëve të UÇK-s, të cilët, pasi e vodhën Kosovën dhe e dobësuan shtetndërtimin e saj, Lobi Shqiptar i shkëputi të gjitha marrëdhëniet me Shtetin Kosovar për shkaqe të arsyeshme dhe për herë të parë pas luftës me ardhjen e Zotit Kurti si kryeministër dhe Zonjës Osmani si Presidente, Lobi Shqiptar po fillon bashkëpunimin me qeverinë e Re dhe i jep një përkrahje të fuqishme në dialog me Serbinë, duke i mbrojtur kufijt e Kosovës dhe reciprorcitetin në çdo fushë të dialogut, duke i balancuar të drejtat e serbëve në Kosovë me të drejtat e Shqiptarëve në Luginën e Preshevës, apo të Kosovës Lindore.
Ditëve të fundit ishim dëshimtarë të një darke të shtruar nga LQSHA për nder të Senatorit BOB Menendez, i cili është kryetar i dhomës për mardhënie me jashtë të Senatit. Në këtë tubim Senatori Bob Menendez dha disa deklarata të forta në mbështetje të Kosovës dhe të reciprocitetit në dialog me Serbinë, dhe, nuk qe e rastit pse Amerika e mbështeti reciprocitetin në rastin e fundit me incidentin e targave në kufi me Serbinë. Perveç asaj, Senatori Bob Menendez e përsëriti edhe një herë se marrëveshja e “Zajednices”, e nënshkruar nga Thaçi dhe Mustafa, nuk do të lejojë Amerika të implementohet pasi cënon shtetësinë e Kosovës dhe interesin gjeopolitik të Amerikës, pasi Amerika është një ndër kontribuesit më të mëdhenj të çlirimit dhe formimit të shtetit të Ksosovës. Mirëpo, krejt këto fitore të mëdha të LQSHA janë mundësuar me përkrahjen financiare dhe donacione nga Mërgata Shqiptare, të cilat mjete përfundojnë në mbështetje të financimit të kompanive zgjedhore te Kongresmënve apo Senatorëve, të cilët pa lëkundje e kanë mbështetur rrugëtimin drejt pavarësisë së Kosovës.
Viteve të fundit mbështetja financiare për LQSHA ka rënë mjaft, dhe dobësimi i Lobit do të shkonte në favor të armiqve tanë. Shqiptarët duhet të mbështesin lobin në Washington dhe të promovojnë marrëdhëniet sa më të forta dhe të sinqerta me Amerikën për të mirën e kombit tonë, pasi ne ende i kemi çështjet kombëtare të pazgjidhura, siç janë gjendja e keqe e Shqiptarëve në Luginën e Preshevës, Mal të Zi, Çamëri apo projektin e Federalizimit të Maqedonisë që Lobi është duke e promovuar. Dhe, për këtë asnjë organizatë apo shoqatë në mëgrim nuk është e kualifikuar apo legalisht e prëgatitur më mirë se LQSHA , e cila 34 vite me radhe solli suksese të mahnitshme në mbrotje të kombit Shqiptar mbrenda qarqeve politike të Washingtonit apo në botë. Mu për atë, apeloj gjithë Shqiptarëve në botë të anëtarësohen në LQSHA. Sa më i fortë të jetë Lobi Shqiptar në Amerikë, aq më i sigurt dhe i fortë do të jetë elementi Shqiptar në Ballkan. Dear sisters and brothers of Diasporas! We are witnessing a glorious era of the Albanian people, especially the liberation of Kosovo from Serbian colonialism and the advancement of the rights of Albanians in Macedonia, Montenegro and the Presevo Valley. We are left behind with the assimilated Albanians in the New Market Sanchak (Novi Pazar). As you know, in this major battle, the Albanian Mergata played a key role in raising awareness of the issue of all Albanians, especially the Kosovo issue, in financing the war and participating in them. But the role of the American community must be emphasized, as the final war was waged by NATO under American command. However, behind NATO's success lies the American Albanian lobby that did a great job in organizing the lobbying network in America and Europe and the support it received from the highest bodies and political decisions of America. In particular, we must not forget the work and activity of Joe DioGuardi as our guide to lobbying in Washington and in the world as president of AACL. Until the liberation of Kosovo, the Albanian lobby in Washington was ranked as one of the most powerful in the world, right behind the Israeli lobby. It should be noted that the Israeli lobby also made a valuable contribution to Washington in favor of the Albanians, thanking God for his tireless work. All these results and the result from the generosity of the Albanian Mergata in financing and supporting the Lobby or the War directly and indirectly. But, after the liberation of Kosovo and the capture of the state of Kosovo for 20 years by a criminalized group of KLA commanders who after stealing Kosovo and weakening its statehood, the Albanian Lobby severed all ties with the State of Kosovo for reasonable causes and for the first time after the war with the coming of MR. Kurti as PM and Miss. Osmani as President, therefore Albanian lobby is starting the cooperation with the new government and gives them a strong support in the dialogue with Serbia by protecting the borders of Kosovo and reciprocity in every field of dialogue by balancing the rights of Serbs in Kosovo with the rights of Albanians in the Presevo Valley. In recent days we have witnessed a dinner hosted by AACL in honor of Senator Bob Menendez who is also chairwoman of the Chamber for External Relations of the Senate. In this gathering Sen. Bob Menendez made some strong statements in support of Kosovo and reciprocity in dialogue with Serbia, and there is no reason why America and reciprocity support in the latter case with the license plate incident on the border with Serbia. In addition, Sen. Mendez reiterated that the "Zajednice" agreement signed by Thaçi and Mustafa will not allow America to be implemented as it violates the statehood of Kosovo and the geopolitical interest of the United States, as America is a major contributor of the liberation and formation of the state of Kosovo. In recent years, financial support for AACL has fallen sharply, and the weakening of the Lobby would go in favor of our enemies. Albanians should support the lobby in Washington and promote the strongest and most sincere relations with America for the good of our nation, as we still have unresolved national issues such as the plight of Albanians in the Presevo Valley, Mal I Zi, Cameri or the Macedonian Federalization project that the Lobby is promoting. And for this no organization or association in exile is better qualified or legally prepared than AACL which for 34 years in a row brought amazing successes in the defense of the Albanian nation within the political circles of Washington or in the world. For that, I appeal to all Albanians in the world to join AACL. The stronger the Albanian Lobby in America, the safer and stronger the Albanian element in the Balkans will be.
